Parattu Raveendran Sreejesh (PR Sreejesh) is a legendary former goalkeeper and captain of the Indian men's national field hockey team, widely regarded as "The Wall of Indian Hockey".He played a monumental role in revitalising Indian hockey on the global stage, highlighted by his consecutive Olympic medals and multi-decade service.

Summary

Sreejesh is the second hockey player in Indian history to win the Padma Bhushan, following the legendary Major Dhyan Chand in 1956. PR Sreejesh is a three-time FIH Men’s Goalkeeper of the Year who earned 336 international caps and won the prestigious Padma Bhushan award in 2025. Over an 18-year career, his spectacular penalty-corner defenses secured crucial tournament victories, including consecutive Olympic bronze medals and Asian Games golds.
