Air Commodore Prasanth Balakrishnan Nair is an elite Indian Air Force (IAF) fighter pilot and one of the four chosen astronauts (Gaganyatris) for India's premier human spaceflight program, Gaganyaan. He has commanded a premier Sukhoi Su-30 MKI squadron and holds an advanced engineering degree from the Indian Institute of Science.
